IT Support Specialist
Position will support the overall reliability of the IT environment utilizing designated hardware and software products. Responsibilities will include: setting up workstations (computers and necessary peripheral devices); installing and configuring appropriate software for efficient functionality, including EMR system components and modules; ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems to maintain protection of HIPAA-related and proprietary documents and records; optimizing the organization and scheduling of upgrades and maintenance on systems in a manner that does not impact continuity of essential work and processes; performing in-depth troubleshooting to diagnose and fix problems, repair and/or replace parts, debug, and scan for viruses timely and effectively; consistently monitor performance of servers and LAN/WAN technologies; and oversee computer repairs and troubleshooting initiatives; and provide technical support on-site, by phone, or remote access as necessary. Necessary skillset includes strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize assignments. Must be self-motivated with a positive, service-oriented attitude. Interested candidates must have, at minimum, an Associate degree in computer science or electronics technology, Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 4-5 years of hands-on hospital or institutional computer technology experience.
