Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Qualified candidates will have the skills, training, and experience to: Assist and support the Physical Therapist (PT) in carrying out individualized care plans of therapy patients including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education and communication to maximize patient’s progress toward achieving established functional goals; communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes; develop and maintain positive working relationships with other healthcare professionals and ancillary staff; assist PT in the monitoring of patient’s progress, regularly updating documentation and ensuring required signatures on all records. Additional duties will include those within the realm of the PT field and in accordance with PTA’s knowledge, training, and abilities. Formal education that includes certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant with a minimum of one year of on-the-job experience required. Qualified candidates will have a current, unencumbered licensure as a PTA with excellent patient and co-worker communication; organizational, time management, and computer/EMR skills a must.
