Cardiac Rehab Attendant – Part Time
Candidate filling this position in our Cardiac Rehab Department will perform a variety of patient-centric tasks that will help patients regain their mobility and strength so they can resume their normal day-to-day activities. Duties and responsibilities will include: Ensuring that every CCMH patient is treated with courtesy, respect, and empathy and are taken care of in a timely and efficient manner; assisting in the treatments and therapies of patients by performing basic care tasks under the supervision of a cardiac RN; supporting individualized patient treatment plans by leading patients through prescribed exercise routines and activities, coaching and encouraging along the way; assisting patients with mobility and transfers from one piece of equipment to another; ensuring appropriate equipment is set up and ready for each patient; assisting with patient and family member education concerning onsite and home exercise programs; assisting in efforts to maintain a safe and clean work environment by cleaning and disinfecting therapy equipment and exercise, rehab and treatment areas; and other clerical duties as assigned. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED with 2-3 years of previous experience direct patient care; CNAs considered. BLS certification required. Excellent patient and co-worker communication ability, organized, time management skills, and computer/EMR skills a must. Part time employees are eligible for some group benefits.
